CUCKOO MARANS
Cuckoo Marans look much like the Barred Plymouth Rock (see here) but lay lovely dark-brown eggs, a trait that many covet. They were developed in France in the early 1800s. They are hardy birds that bear confinement well. They also like to go broody and make excellent mothers.
