POLISH
One of the most distinctive features of the Polish chicken is its crown of feathers (crest) that sits on top of its head. Polish chickens are stunning to look at and equally entertaining. Although their exact origin is still unknown, they were widely popular in England in the 1700s and made it to American soil in the 1850s. They are docile but skittish because their crest impairs their vision, which also makes them susceptible to predators. A great show bird and a good layer, the Polish breed is a beautiful addition to any flock.
